In 2008, Stephen Briggs and I joined with the founder of beacon, Mark Tenaglia. Designers hardly need an excuse to want to rebrand anything, and this was no exception.
What follows are various options I suggested. The one we eventually selected is based on elevation drawings. I created a few different versions of line-work with the wordmark remaining consistent.
Beacons are typically situated on the highest point of any landscape. I liked this connection to being seen. It seemed fitting for an agency so devoted to all things visual.
