The Canadian Marketing Association holds a convention every year called ‘next’. For 2010 they wanted to put the focus on inspiration. They had a great lineup of presenters chosen for their ability to ‘light up the mind’.
I tried to relate what it would be like for someone attending by illustrating a substance (paint=audience) being altered by a force (centrifugal force=speaker).
To achieve this, I created a series of paper discs which I mounted to my bicycle trainer. Paint dabs were then applied to the discs. By pedalling my bicycle, the discs were spun incredibly fast, forcing the paint to do all sorts of interesting things. It was always a surprise when I stopped.
Sadly, this project never saw the light of day.
I’ve included all the discs at the bottom of this post. If you feel they might be right for your project, don’t hesitate to contact me.
