Local Ecological Indicators
This work was done with the communities of Inuvik, Paulatuk and Tuktoyaktuk to develop local indicators for belugas. The indicators are based on Inuvialuit knowledge and observations about beluga whales.

A 4-fold pamphlet was used to return information to the communities

A more in-depth 28 page booklet followed.
sharing knowledge

Invialuit traditional knowledge and western science come together at The Beluga Summit, a recurring event that brings together researchers, harvesters, Inuvialiut traditional knowledge holders, youth and resources managers for the sharing of knowledge about beluga whales.

A 68 page program featured event info, schedule and speaker profiles.
